Childhood imagination while growing up on a farm just outside Stratford was the inspiration, decades later, for the name of the new Pizza Farm and 65-seat event space and kitchen on Victoria Street North.
“My grandfather was a farmer, and asked me what kind of farmer I was going to be. I said I was going to be a pizza farmer,” says chef-owner Paul Cummings. “And now I guess, theoretically, I am.”
A Stratford Chefs School graduate, Cummings operated Indulge Natural and Organic Kitchen for two and a half years upstairs at Kitchener Farmers’ Market — pandemic closures soon made their contribution to the name.
“With COVID-19, we switched gears and flipped the business to frozen pizzas.”
