Penny’s for hot/honey chicken sammies
I headed out to Penny’s Hot Chicken in Waterloo — located at the crazy student-packed corner of King and University — to try their hefty fried chicken sandwiches: you can read about that in Waterloo Chronicle today.
The founder of the business also founded and owns The Poke Box, a neighbour to Penny’s (which is named for his daughter).
I think it’s cool that both of these restaurants, and their establishment by Wilfrid Laurier University graduates and food-entrepreneurs, have expanded their brand into Toronto.
Kudos to them!
