Occasionally, one stumbles upon a dish that would appear to underpromise but instead happily overdelivers.
Jjajangmyeon, a noodle dish at Waterloo’s Seoul Soul Korean Restaurant, is such a dish.
A dark, seemingly brooding bowl, its murkiness on the surface would have you expect heavy, clumsy and sodden mouthfuls were about to follow. But, like the bromide about judging a book by its proverbial cover, that is not the case.
