Pay-it-forward meals at Fat Sparrow restos
February 17 is #RandomActofKindness day, so starting today and running until March 17, if you purchase a Fat Sparrow Meal Kit for a friend, local hero or front-line worker in the Waterloo Region, Fat Sparrow Group will make a donation of three meals per order for families in need through The Food Bank of Waterloo Region.
“We are passionate about supporting our community and believe that sharing our success is a great way to pay-it-forward for those in need,” says Nick Benninger, co-founder of the Fat Sparrow Group based in St. Jacobs.
“We are passionate about sticking to our roots, supporting local and rewarding the body and soul with great food. We’re conscious about the heightened need not only during this pandemic but all year, every year,” he says.
According to Benninger, this is an opportunity to highlight need and to encourage others to participate and help support the Food Bank and the members of our community who rely on their services.
