Beer festival supports Food 4 Kids WR
Food for Kids Waterloo Region is a Kitchener-based organization that gets food to kids and families through the school system.
It’s a volunteer-driven organization that continues to grow in the number of families and kids it helps in a time a time of dramatically increased prices for everything we need to buy — perhaps most importantly food.
In a few weeks, however, you can help support Food 4 For Kids WR and enjoy some delicious beer during some glorious summer weather. There’s nothing better than sunshine, music, beer — and knowing that your financial support is helping kids in our community.
The Great Ontario Beer Festival takes place June 24-25 at Bingemans in Kitchener and has the charity goal of raising $15,000 for Food 4 Kids WR.
At the event, you’ll find 40 breweries, distilleries and cideries as well as music, food vendors and a cool “Hot Sauce Pavilion.”
The Festival runs Friday 5 p.m.-11 p.m. and Saturday 2 p.m.-10 p.m.
Single day tickets are $30.00 (plus taxes and fees). Weekend passes are $40.00 (plus taxes and fees).
